Several of the switch contacts in the Conn 651 either weren’t working or required lots of “coaxing” to engage. I removed the switch assemblies, cleaned around the switches with 409 and then cleaned the switch contacts with DeoxIT to bring them back to life. (Important note: 409 can make the lettering on the switches bleed, so be careful.)
